Pricing & Policies

 Here at Ocean View Notary Services, we have a few policies we'd like you to keep in mind:

• Appointments are required. We are not a walk‑in business, and you will not be serviced if you arrive at our address without first booking an appointment.
   
• We are a mobile‑only notary service. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, we exclusively travel to you. A travel fee is charged in addition to the California state fee of $15 per notarized signature.
   
• Waiting time is billed. We charge $2 per minute for every minute a notary waits at the start of an appointment, with a 15‑minute grace period.
   
• Cancellations after arrival incur the travel fee. If a notary arrives and the appointment is canceled, the travel fee is still due. If you reschedule, the previous travel cost will be applied unless it was already paid.
   
• Meeting at our office still carries a travel fee. We offer our office as a rendezvous point if you don’t have another location, but our notaries are not stationed there and must travel to meet you. The standard travel fee therefore applies.
   
• Service hours. Our regular service hours are 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM on weekdays, excluding major holidays. While we operate 24 hours, competitive rates only apply during regular hours. Outside these hours, travel fees at least double and increase further late at night or early in the morning.
   
• Higher travel fees for healthcare and correctional facilities. Visits to hospitals, clinics, convalescent homes, skilled nursing facilities, and similar locations typically incur double the normal travel fee. Visits to correctional facilities generally incur five times the normal travel fee.
   
• Travel fees vary by time and distance. Fees depend on traffic, time of day, and exact location, with a typical minimum travel fee of $30. We’re flexible and may reduce or waive the fee based on the number of signatures or other factors—call for an exact quote.
   
• Apostille services. Apostilles are $360 for the first document and $50 for each additional document within a 10‑mile radius of Santa Monica, California. If you’re farther away, call for a quote. Same‑day apostille service may be available; contact us for timing.

We employ reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of online transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or delete your personal information by contacting us.
   
• Opt out of promotional emails via the unsubscribe link in those emails.
   
• Disable cookies in your browser (note: some site features may be affected).
   

Our website may link to external sites or use third‑party tools (e.g., Google Analytics). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third‑party sites.
